The Winona Lions Club was founded in 1935. The are part of Lions District 5m1, which is 8 counties in SE Minnesota. The group is a community minded bunch of individuals who pool their talents on behalf of local needs. The club meets at noon on Mondays throughout the year to learn about Winona as a community, to determine how we may best aid the community, and implement a variety of service programs. We may concentrate on helping individuals or families, often spearheading community-wide programs involving the support and participation of local citizens. In addition to locally-based programs, the club also helps support relief project undertaken by fellow Lions in different parts of the world.
